UC is Top Performing Midwifery School
Once again, the University of Cebu School of Midwifery is recognized as a top performing Midwifery school in the country.
Twenty-one (21) out of 22 of its examinees, who were all first-takers, passed the April 29-30, 2009 board exams. It garnered a very high passing percentage of 95.45%, the highest for UC since 2000.
It only comes second to the Cebu School of Midwifery, which has 29 out of 30 successful examinees and a passing percentage of 96.67%. The national passing percentage is 52.22%.
UC has been awarded as the 2nd top performing school nationwide in the same board exams for two consecutive years (2006 and 2007). Its midwifery students are most sought-after even before graduation because of their work ethic and high-tech training.
UC School of Midwifery is affiliated with Cebu Chong Hua Hospital which is currently undergoing accreditation with the Joint Commission International (JCI).
