Professional Teaching Instructions set on Industry-based and World-class Standards Banilad Working Scholars

The student must enroll immediately, after having graduated in any degree program.
The University of Cebu-Banilad Honor Society is composed of all High School Honor graduates enrolling at UC-Banilad and those who maintain the Entrance Scholarship.
(Student must be an Honor Student among at least 60 graduates)

Discounts Privilege and Scholarship Renewal

Honor Graduates shall enjoy the following discounts:

  • Valedictorian
    • Full Free for BSC & BSA, laboratory fees not included in other courses
  • Salutatorian
    • Pay Registration Fee.
    • Free in all other fees.
    • 75% discount on tuition fee.
    • Pay labotatory fee.
  • First Honorable Mention
    • Pay Registration Fee.
    • Free in all other fees.
    • 25% Discount on tuition fee.
    • Pay labotatory fee.
  • Second and Third Honorable Mention
    • Pay Registration Fee.
    • Pay laboratory fee
    • 50% discount in all other fees
    • 10% discount on tuition fee
  • Honors up to 10th Place
    • Pay Registration Fee.
    • Pay all other fees.
    • 10% discount on tuition fee.
    • Pay laboratory fee.

For the continuance of the aforementioned privilages, the Scholar must obtain a general average of at least 1.80 for the succeeding semester.

The Scholar must apply to the Office of the Administrator for renewal of scholarship. Failure to obtain the minimum required grade average means outomatic dropping from the Honor Society.

Effectivity of Discount Privilege - This is good for only one year so that in the second year and thereafter, the previlege for Dean's Lister shall apply.

Academic Load - Scholars should carry every Semester the regular load required for his/her course.

Regular Enrolment - Summer Classes - The academic scholarship shall apply only during regular semesters. In case scholars take summer classes, they have to pay the regular fees without the discounts.

Shifting Courses/Scholarship - An academic scholar should pursue the academic program without shifting to another course/scholarship. In case a scholar shifts to another program/scholarship, he/she loses the scholarship even if the required grade is obtained.

Violation of the Requirement(s) - Failure to comply with any of the requirements (minimumgrade, academic load, regular enrollment, etc.) means automatic dropping from the UC-Banilad Honor Society; hence, the discontinuance of the discount privilege.

 

NON-ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP (Working Scholarships)

To be a working scholar you must have the following requirements


  • Grade (not less than 2.5 average for UC students 85% for the fresh High School graduate)
  • Application Letter
  • Resume with 2x2 picture
  • Tax Exemption certificate of parent/s from BIR.

Applicants will be scheduled for an IQ Examination.
Applicants who passed the IQ Examination will be subjected for an interview.

 

Discount Privilege and Scholarship Renewal

  • Every working scholar is entitled for a full free of tuition fee of any four or five year course with an allowance of P4.50 per duty hour.
  • Every working scholar must maintain a grade an average of 3.0 with no failing grade in any of his/her subjects.
 

Effectivity of Discount Privilege

  • Every working scholar is given one semester contract. The department head will have a semestral evaluation of the performance of the working scholars assigned in their department and will decide whether to retain the working scholar or not.
