Freshmen Requirements

  • Original Copy of High School Report Card (Form 138)
  • Birth Certificate with LCR Number
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • 1 copy 2x2 colored picture
  • 2 copies 1x1 colored picture (for BSMT & BSMARE only)

Continuing Students

Continuing students are those previously enrolled in the University either in the immediately preceding semester or after having stopped without enrolling elsewhere.

If any one semester or summer session a student fails one-third of the units then he/she may not re-enroll in the same curriculum without the written recommendation of the Dean of the department concerned. If the student fails at the second time, he/she may enroll in another curriculum if accepted by the Dean of the department concerned. If the student fails in a similar manner the third time, he/she shall be disqualified from further registration in the University.

Non-academic reasons for non-readmission are governed by the Displinary rules and regulations of DECS, CHED, other concerned agencies and the school administration

Foreign Students

Filipino citizens whose family names are of foreign origin must submit their birth certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar

Special Students are those who are not entitled to receive official credit for the work which they desire to take because they do not satisfy the requirements for the admission to the courses or subjects or for any other reason

Special students may be admitted at any time to the course which they wish to attend provided that:

  • they receive approval of the Dean and/or Department Chairman for each of the courses they may propose to enroll;
  • they sign an agreement in which they waive the right to receive and to demand credit for the work done (Section viii, par. 144 Manual Regulations for Private Schools, 1970 7th edition) and they pay in full fees at the time of enrollment
  • Special Students are not eligible for any honors or privileges

Transfer Students

Transferees are those who wish to enroll in the University after having been enrolled in cllegiate or technical courses at another institution. Former college students returning to the University of Cebu - Lapulapu and Mandaue after having enrolled in other institutions are also considered transfer students

At the time of enrollment a transferee must submit the following credentials:

  • Certificate of Transfer Credential from the school last attended
  • a statement of good moral character
  • an informative copy of his/her transcript of records which should include the descriptive title of the subjecs taken and the grades earned
  • 1pc 2x2 colored picture
  • Permit-to-Study is needed if the student intends to enroll for one semester or for the summer only

A transferee, to be admitted, should have at least thirty (30) units to complete an associate course general average of at lease 2.5 in all subjects already taken, and no more than two (2) failures. The transferee should have at least one year residence in UC-LM prior to graduation.

A department may choose to give a validating examination to a transferee whose grade is below 2.5

UCLM Scholarship Information

Academic Scholarship

Available for high school graduates with honors (except Nursing)

Non-Academic Scholarship

Sponsored by UCLM (working scholars) with the goal that students can benifit through working experience by rendering services in any school department/office wherein one is assigned to a particular number of working hours.

  • High school general average of 80% and above
  • Certification of high school graduation signifying rank
  • Certification of good moral character
  • Latest income tax returns of parent/guardian
  • Completed application form at the Guidance Center
  • I.Q. Test and interview

  • Free on all fees for Valedictorian
  • 75% off on tuition fees for Salutatorian
  • 50% off on tuition fees for 1st honorable mention
  • Php 500.00 monthly allowance for each of the top 3 High School graduates per selected school
  • 10% rebate on tuition fees for students int the Dean's list
  • 10% off on tuition fees in paid in full at the start of the semester.
  • 10% off on tuition fees for incoming Freshmen Night Classes students
