Vision

The College of Engineering will be recognized as one of the leading engineering institutions in the Philippines through quality research, excellence in engineering instruction, and relevant extension services.

Mission

We commit to provide quality and affordable engineering programs that will produce engineering graduates who are responsive to the needs of the local and global community.

Goals and Objectives

The College of Engineering will apply resources and pursue opportunities to achieve the following strategic goals:

  1. Be the institution of first choice for high school students in Central Visayas who wish to pursue careers in engineering.
  2. Produce graduates who are highly valued both local and global employers and accepted for graduate study.
  3. Be a service provider of the continuing professional development for engineering and technical professionals in Central Visayas and Mindanao.
  4. Establish a strong academic-industry linkage among the private corporations and government institutions.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

A few years after, our BSCE graduates:

  1. become successful civil engineering practitioners and/ or specialists;
  2. develop into champions in the pursuit of lifelong learning; and
  3. uphold the standards of professionalism, corporate conduct and the UC and COE core values.
BSCE Program Outcomes (POs)

Upon completion of the program, the graduates will have the following knowledge and skills:

  1. Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics and science to solve engineering problems
  2. Ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data
  3. Ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability, in accordance with standards
  4. Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams
  5. Ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems
