THE UNIVERSITY OF CEBU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE opened its doors to the pioneer batch of 104 students on June 22, 2015. It strives to produce physicians who are driven to excel and serve. Backed by distinguished roster of faculty members, the school provides innovative, transformative and high quality educational programs that IS SUBJECT BASED and seek to integrate the desired outcomes of a medical graduate. Active learning strategy becomes the core of the curricular delivery.

It is steadfast in its commitment to the growth of medical students both personally and professionally. Entrance, academic and special scholarships are offered. Classrooms are all air-conditioned.

Located at 4th to the 7th floors of the new building, one can find modern facilities ideal for learning. The 2 state of the art amphitheaters for plenary lectures, the spacious CLINICAL SKILLS LABORATORY, and the BIOCHEMISTRY, PHYSIOLOGY AND PHARMACOLOGY LABORATORIES where the students do their POWER Lab activities and their research studies are in the 7th floor.

At the sixth floor are the laboratories for MICROBIOLOGY AND PARASITOLOGY, PATHOLOGY, GROSS ANATOMY, HISTOLOGY AND NEUROANATOMY. All are fully equipped with the latest laboratory equipment and supplies.

There are 15 air-conditioned SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION ROOMS for the team based learning and case based learning. Together with these are the modern library and the special EXAMINATION hall at the fifth floor.

A clinical science lecture hall is located across the ADMIN office. The students lounge and study areas are found near the canteen area at the 4th floor.
