Zamboanga City- The Webmasters capped a successful campaign in the Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) taekwondo championship, netting three medals on July 13-19, 2023.

Edilia Macaya copped Bronze in the Poomsae Event team category. Christine Masapequina bagged a silver, and Jecelle Fatima Monsanto secured a gold for the Kyurogi Event.

 

Monsanto, the gold medalist of the team, exchanged blows with Region 3 during the Quarterfinal. She also fought against Region 2 during the Semifinals and Region 4A during the Finals. It was a head-to-head fight of skilled fighters, and the only way to the gold was a forward strike. Monsanto ruled over the competition, thereby earning her PRISAA gold.

 

The athletes produced the best performance in their respective categories, displaying prowess and valor in the battle of foot and fist. Coached by Mr. Sabumnim Realista and Sir Michael Angelo Realista, the team ended the Taekwondo Championship with Medals and Pride. | via UCLM Focus (The Official Online Magazine of UCLM)
