On September 4, 2026, a cherished University of Cebu tradition came alive once again as the UC Banilad Campus family gathered at the UC Main Campus to celebrate Chancellor Candice Gotianuy’s birthday, welcomed by the celebrator and her father, UC Chairman Atty. Augusto W. Go.
Led by UC Banilad Campus Director Dean Ofelia G. Maña, the Banilad delegation brought its own spirited birthday tribute, rendering a slow-motion rendition of “Happy Birthday” for Chancellor Candice.
The lighthearted presentation drew smiles from the celebrator and those present, reflecting the warm relationship shared within the UC community.
The celebration is part of a long-standing UC tradition where members and representatives from the University’s different campuses come together to greet Atty. Go and Chancellor Candice on their birthdays.
For the UC Banilad family, the gathering is more than a birthday visit—it is an opportunity to celebrate the people who have helped shape the University and to reaffirm the sense of family that connects the different UC campuses.
