A proud and victorious moment for the University of Cebu-METC for students and faculty proudly brought honor and distinction to the University during the 3rd International Research Conference 2026, held on August 19–20, 2026, at the University of the Visayas–Main Campus, Cebu City.With the theme, “Harnessing Research Frontiers: Innovation, Emerging Technologies, and Transformative Inquiry,” the conference became a meaningful celebration of research excellence, innovation, and scholarly collaboration.We proudly congratulate our outstanding researchers:BEST PRESENTER: E/C Chris Andrew P. FelicitasHis study is entitled “Seawater Batteries: Development and Performance Evaluation of Salt Water-Based Electrochemical Cells as a Renewable Energy Source”. His co-authors are E/C Sean Dave Alaña, E/C David Psalm Villaraza, E/C Jan Denver Felisilda, E/C Yozef Hero Naquita and E/C Ethan Pestaño.Best Paper was awarded to Asst. Prof. Merliza T. Tayros, Asst. Prof. Iris Q. Heslop, Tristan James A. Aranzado, Lovern Grace E. Tapic, Daniel A. Serundo, Drena Dorena G. Apao, Goodwill G. Bibaesi, Enrico L. Fabricante, Jomar L. Natad, Jerick Lawrence A. Olinares, Keith Nathan D. Orcuse, and Jhunscent R. Turtogo.Their study is entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Oral Communication Instruction: Measured Gains and Learner Experiences among Maritine Engineering Students”We also proudly commend D/C Mitchel Q. Seguerra for his noteworthy presentation of the study:“Filipino Women Seafarers: Challenges and Strategies in Balancing Career and Family Life”These remarkable accomplishments reflect the dedication, hard work, and passion of our faculty and student researchers.
