University of Cebu TESDA programs back in operation

Last October 28-29, 2020, TESDA Region VII Provincial Director, Dr. Floro T. Ringca, granted the permit to resume operations to University of Cebu’s TESDA-accredited training and assessment programs.

UCLM inspection was done on October 28, 2020 while both UC Banilad and UC Main inspections were done on October 29, 2020. Seeing that everything is in place and conformant to IATF safety and health protocols, the provincial director then announced that all TESDA-accredited programs of the university can now resume operations. This is after the long halt of operations due to COVID-19 lockdown since March 2019.

Per Engr. Rogelio Lansa, UC Banilad’s TETAC AC Manager, the inspection will pave the way for more NC II holders in Cebu. Dr. Grayfield Bajao, AC Manager of UCLM and UC Main, also shares the same impression. “We are excited for this development. We are glad that the provincial director himself visited us.”

As a responsible and efficient partner of TESDA’s mission, University of Cebu has always been conformant to the agency’s guidelines in providing technical education and skills development of the Filipino workforce. This is by offering trainings and assessments of the most demanded competencies both locally and internationally.
