As the new academic year opens, leadership opportunities await the students of the University of Cebu. UC through the FRIENDS project remains to be purpose- driven and service-oriented as the number of student leaders remain to be significantly high and hopeful towards a fruitful academic year. As a high number of student leaders were Intercultural Passport holders, breakout sessions were facilitated. This was an opportunity for the youth leaders to think deeply and carefully on their decisions regarding situations where perspective, attitude, culture, and decision-making plays important roles as these will describe the type of leadership they are bound to serve to their respective constituents. UC-FRIENDS through the Student Affairs Office aims to set the tone in learning how to navigate through oneself, as a team, and as an organization. Some of the youth leaders were new and some were reelected, the seminar was a great space for both backgrounds of leaders to participate, exhibit interculturalmcompetencies, learn from themselves, and culturally collaboratively draft out imaginative ways and approaches of service towards their constituents.
