With over 200 maritime cadets and scholars partnered with international shipping companies, the University of Cebu – Maritime Education and Training Center (UC-METC) remains steadfast in its mission—to offer affordable and quality education responsive to the demands of local and international communities.

Through UC-METC’s Campus Linkage and Scholarship Office, maritime cadets have found their way to respected and top international companies. With the support of cadetship programs and scholarships sealed in partnership between cadets and companies through the institution, these aspiring seafarers gain invaluable experiences and opportunities that shape their futures.
These cadets are expected to spend their apprenticeship aboard the vessels of the company they have their cadetship programs with, and through the years, several aspiring and hopeful seafarers come home with melted snow on their shoulders.
