UC HOLDS VICTORY PARTY FOR 2024 OLYMPIANS, BOARD TOPNOTCHERS

Highlighting the institution’s tradition of ensuring that every hard work and achievements would not go unnoticed, the University of Cebu (UC) organized a welcoming celebration for UC Olympians, Elreen Ann Ando and John Febuar Ceniza, along with the newest topnotchers of the university.
 
Ando, Ceniza, and their coaches, Ramon Solis and Christopher Bureros, were given Php200,000 cash incentives during the program.
Furthermore, John Philip Minancillo, who clinched the first spot in the August 2024 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination (MELE), was awarded a brand-new electric car, while Roshen Novian Pansoy Mapang, who placed fourth in the Licensure Examination for Criminologists (LEC), received a Php70,000 incentives.
 
During the ceremony, UC President Candice Gotianuy expressed her joy with all the achievements that the UCnians had accomplished.
“I dream big but never in my wildest dream that I would be standing on a stage with one vice mayor (pertaining to Acting Vice Mayor Dondon Hontiveros who attended the event), two Olympians, the first placer in a Mechanical Engineering exams, and fourth placer in the Criminology exams. I think it really is getting to be a habit,” she said.
 
Also present during the event were UC Executive Vice-Chancellor Manuel Elijah J. Sarausad, Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Yolanda C. Sayson, Athletics Director Jessica J. Honoridez, College of Engineering (CoE) Dean Greg R. Belongilot, and Mechanical Engineering Chairman Rodel T. Naval.
