
The University of Cebu (UC)- Main Campus Team TrackSense from the College of Computer Studies emerged as The Real MVP Champion (College Division) at the recently concluded Smart Sweep Innovation Generation 4, held at the National Council on Disability Affairs in Quezon City on September 4, 2025.
TrackSense is a 3-in-1 Smart Walking Assistant for the Visually Impaired. An innovative assistive technology designed to empower individuals with visual impairment by enhancing their mobility, safety, and independence. It combines three powerful components into one seamless system: Smart Cane/Stick for detection, Smart Glass for capturing images of the surroundings, and Smart App as mobile application that can tell the weather, location and travel history for monitoring.
The Judge’s Choice Award (The Real MVP) is one of the most anticipated awards of the event. The award recognizes ‘TrackSense’ as a groundbreaking tech project that benefits its community for the long term.
The event is in collaboration with PLDT, Smart, and the National Council on Disability Affairs to empower young innovators through Innovation Generation Season 4. InnoGen 4 fosters tech-driven solutions to empower persons with disabilities.
The team received cash prize and cash grants to pursue the project by the National Council on Disability Affairs.
