University of Cebu Chairman Atty. Augusto W. Go met with the University’s campus scholarship heads on September 14 at the UC Main Campus to reinforce the continued dissemination of the Presidential Scholarship, particularly among students pursuing board and professional courses.

The meeting brought together newly appointed Scholarship Director Mr. John Nillas and UC Banilad OIC Scholarship Coordinator Mr. Niño Ardiza, along with UCLM Scholarship Coordinator Annabelle Hisula, UCPT Scholarship Coordinator Dina Mangubat, and UC Main Scholarship Coordinator Allysa Lupio, led by IMS and Cultural Director Mr. Rudy Aviles.

The discussion focused on strengthening the reach of the Presidential Scholarship and ensuring that qualified students and their communities are informed of the opportunities available to them.

The Presidential Scholarship provides free tuition and school fees, a book allowance, and a monthly cash allowance, helping lessen the financial burden of pursuing a college education. The scholarship is mostly intended to open opportunities for students taking board and professional courses.

For Atty. Go, the initiative reflects his vision of using education to give hope and transform lives by opening doors for students who aspire to pursue higher education and professional careers.

Through the continued coordination of scholarship heads across UC campuses, the University seeks to bring the scholarship closer to more students and communities—turning educational opportunities into a chance to pursue their dreams and build better futures.
